Jeroen Rohde
I’m Jeroen Rohde (born in 1971) and I’m a psychologist and coach in Gouda. At DenkPro you can get treatment for a variety of complaints, for example: anxiety, mood complaints, trauma and stress. I’m also specialised in work-related issues, such as burn-out. We do not have waiting lists, which means we can see you quickly.
I have lived and worked in the Balkan, which allowed me to experience what it means to leave a home country and adjust somewhere else. I believe I can use this experience to relate to people trying to adjust to the Netherlands. I speak Dutch at a native level and English and German fluently.
My clients often tell me I come across as patient and calm. It’s important to me that they feel accepted and relaxed. Humour is an important facet in this. In short, I believe it’s possible to make therapy a positive experience.
Besides my registrations as a healthcare psychologist and cognitive behavioural therapist, I’ve also finished my studies in public administration. I’ve had about 10 years of experience in policy, organisations and management and 15 years of experience as a psychologist. Because of this, I believe I can offer more and different insights with regards to work-related complaints. Often it’s important that your therapist understands the context, to help you function more effectively in your work environment.
Niall Jassim
I’m Niall Jassim, I was born in 1983 and I’m a healthcare psychologist. I was born in England and have lived most of my life in The Netherlands. I was raised bilingually and speak English and Dutch at a native level. Being raised in an intercultural family has allowed me to experience the benefits and struggles of adjusting to different cultures.
From the beginning of my career I have treated both English and Dutch speaking clients. I have also had years of experience at a department in which only expats were treated. All treatments here were in English.
After I achieved my Master’s degree in Psychology in 2009, I specialised in treating a variety of problems and complaints, such as trauma/PTSD, anxiety complaints, mood complaints and work-related problems.
I have been trained in and use different styles of therapy (e.g. cognitive behavioural therapy, schema therapy, EMDR, client-centered therapy) and I have experience in treating couples with relationship problems.
I believe that it’s important (maybe even essential) that my clients feel validated and that they have a large say in shaping their treatment. In this way my clients and I work together during the treatment, in which they should feel at ease and accepted.
